Tabyr Briggs

Hi! I’m Tabyr, an American yoga instructor on a global journey, spreading the ancient wisdom of yoga to students from all over the world. I have had the privilege of teaching in various countries, including the United States, Israel, Italy, and more. However, my heart lies in Rishikesh, India, where I have called home for the last two years, drawn to its significance as the birthplace of yoga.

When I arrived in Rishikesh, my purpose was to deepen my understanding of yoga beyond meditation - a practice in which I had already been long exploring. I was eager to dive into its other aspects, like asana and philosophy, by learning from the source itself. The experience was enchanting, and my devotion to the practice grew effortlessly, unveiling an inherent aspect of myself that had been patiently yearning to emerge.

As I pursued my studies rigorously, I accepted a teaching position at a yoga teacher training school, where I collaborated with fellow instructors to offer comprehensive courses in 200-hour, 300-hour, and aerial yoga training to practitioners from diverse backgrounds. My teaching approach centers around creating inclusive and engaging classes that foster guided conversations rather than traditional lectures. Through this method, we can collectively explore topics, address confusion, and embrace practical understanding, enabling students to seamlessly integrate the knowledge into their own practice and teaching.

Establishing a safe and supportive learning environment is of utmost importance to me. I believe that when students feel safe, secure, and guided, they can truly surrender to the knowledge shared with them and the experience that follows. My ultimate goal is to instill confidence in each individual, equipping them with the necessary tools to confidently embark on their own journeys, sharing what they have learned with the world long after our paths have diverged.
