Savasana or Corpse Pose: Etymology & Practice


Your goal with your sleeping positions is to have your spine as straight as possible from tip to bottom. Laying on your back in savasana with only a pillow under the knees straightens the lower back curvature to make the spine completely straight. This is my preferred position as at times I have woken up in this same position, indicating my spine likely remained straight throughout the night.
